As I work on my computer all day, I know it is really bad for my health if I just sit down all the time, just as office workers health suffer because they are trapped at their desk, and much like Economy Class Syndrome in long flights on planes, blood circulation suffers, blot clots can develop, and even diabetes can develop over time.
健康維持のためにもウォーキング!
Luckily though I work from home, so I can get up and go out for a walk anytime. I make it a point to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps a day, and most days I do well over that walking about 10 km a day to combat the long hours of sitting down I do.
ウォーキングの楽しみ方
Also very luckily, I live in a vibrant and colorful neighborhood, with everything from temples to markets to shanty houses, canals and a major river running through it, so my walks are always pleasant and fun.
At the moment it is the Thai summer, or hot season, so it can be hot, but I don’t mind it at all.
These pictures are just a few of the sights I see as I wind my way through back streets and along canals. I think it is important to wander around backstreets and alleys – that way you find some real gems in the form of quaint shops, yummy restaurants and different buildings etc., so you see, exercise doesn’t have to be tedious at all!
