Hey there everyone! It’s me again, and welcome to summer!
Are you as hot as I am now? Well, if you’re lucky enough to have air conditioning, you probably aren’t. I’m living in an old, old, old house though, so I don’t have air conditioning.
夏は好きだけど、、、
I used to say I enjoy hot weather, and summer, but these days, even I have my limits.
I’m sure there’s more than 1 factor at play as well, though I wish I could ignore both of them. Chiefly, it’s impossible to ignore the effects of anthropogenic climate change.
If you’ve never heard the term ‘anthropogenic’, it’s a fancy adjective describing ‘something caused by human activities’. In this case, we’re referring to the release of greenhouse gasses by humans, by driving, consuming animals, etc.
The other factor is, I hate to say it, my age! Though I wish I could deny aging, it’s hard to ignore those grey hairs on my head, even with my declining eyesight to boot!

But, this post is not all doom and gloom! It’s my favourite time of year as well. Not summer, but rather, it’s the start of my Misconception Courses again. The first one starting will be Nic先生の英語Misconception克服講座＜基礎単語·文法編＞. As the name suggests, this course is all about fundamental or basic words and grammar, parts of English that you use every day.
If that sounds simple, it is… Kind of! There are tons of common mistakes that people make every day, with fundamental words like ‘go’ and ‘come’, or ‘learn’ and ‘know’. Luckily, my course is all about these simple words.
However, if that sounds too easy, think again! This is a course for students that really want to master English. Even if you’re a master of English, or think you are, I guarantee you will learn a lot from this course.

And, since it’s getting so hot these days, why not sit inside somewhere cool, with an ice coffee, and do some studying! Of course, in between trips to the beach to cool down.
I’m actually on my way to the water right now, but I couldn’t help sharing the great news.
