みなさんは、学校が終わった後、何をしていますか。

日本の小学生の過ごし方を紹介しますね。３年生から１年生では、学童保育へ行くかどうかで、少し違いがあります。

学童保育は、親が働いていて、家で放課後に一人になる小学生のためのものです。いつも同じスタッフが子どもたちの世話をするので、子どもたちも親もとても安心です。自由に遊んだり、宿題もします。それに、けんかすることもあるけれど、おやつを一緒に食べて、それぞれの子どもの誕生日も一緒にお祝いします。

１年に一回、町の学童保育の運動会があって、そこに子どもたちと一緒に親も参加します。

What do you do after school? Let me explain how Japanese elementary school children spend their time. From first grade to third grade, it is a little different depending on whether they go to after-school activities.

After-school activities are for elementary school children whose parents work after school. The same staff always take care of them, so the children and their parents feel very safe.

There they can play and also do their homework as they like. Plus, they have snacks together, and they celebrate each child’s birthday, although there are sometimes fights during after-school activities.
